THE DISRUPTIVE Barbadian–Canadian passenger who arrived in Barbados on Air Canada Flight 1996 on June 14 is now in the care of his family.
The man who had to be restrained after acting strangely on the plane was detained at the Psychiatric Hospital until August 5 when he was discharged into police custody.
Police say based on the doctor’s assessment he was released into the custody of relatives without any charges.
A passenger said the man’s bizarre behavior included reading a book on demon possession, carrying an unlit candle and chanting incoherent phrases. (PR/NB)
