IT’S NOT EVERY DAY that someone celebrates their 100th birthday.
And it’s definitely not every day that a centenarian is able to dance and ride in a horse-drawn carriage.
That was exactly the case yesterday as Emmeline Augusta Stoute celebrated 100 years in fine fashion in the presence of the Governor-General Sir Elliott Belgrave, family and friends at the Living Waters Community Hall, St David’s, Christ Church.
The Bottom’s Close, Wildey, St Michael resident was described by many as a nice and sweet person, and her son Hugh Stoute said his mother had always been an active person.
Stoute said last year during her 99th birthday celebration she spontaneously burst into dance and from that time, he knew she would reach the golden landmark.
