THE ANGLICAN CHURCH has a presence in every square foot of Barbados and is working with the community, Bishop Dr John Holder said yesterday.
He said that while the church has a strong youth ministry, rushing out into the so-called troubled areas was not the way they did things.
“We, the Anglican church, do not do knee-jerk,” he said. “We have a solid ministry, a strong outreach ministry and our parishes cover every square foot of this island so there is no issue outside of the boundary of the Anglican Church.
“What happens is that we do not become all worked up and try to grab the front page of the paper. We work quietly with our ministry and we make sure that we respond to the issues in the various parishes.” (LK)
