EMBATTLED president of the Barbados Cycling Union (BCU), Keith Yearwood, says his detractors cannot point to “any infelicities” his administration has committed.
Yearwood told MIDWEEK SPORT that his administration had been unjustly criticised over the last two years when so much had been done to chart a course for the sport.
“What are you blaming me for? There must be some critique. No one has told me that I am not doing A, B or C, and properly, and therefore you need to go. Up to now, no one can point to where the infelicities are? All I have heard is some cyclists have indicated they are not riding because they are not getting prize money,” he said.
He said that it was unfortunate that the BCU should now be blamed for the poor turnout of riders at road races over the past few seasons. (MK)
