Sports physician and anti-doping official Dr Adrian Lorde is urging sportsmen to give their exact location at all times as failure to do such can be treated as a doping violation.
Lorde made the plea earlier in the week at the Barbados Olympic Association (BOA) while officially announcing Barbados’ 12-member team to the Rio Olympics.
“I think most of our athletes and sports people in Barbados are aware of what they should take and what they should not take [but] one area I don’t think they recognise is the importance of whereabouts, where the athlete doesn’t recognise that not giving whereabouts is a doping violation,” said Lorde.
