THE DREAM Roston was Chasing since he was a boy is one step closer to becoming reality.

Roston Chase has been rewarded for his consistency for Barbados Pride over the past two years with a maiden call-up to the senior West Indies squad.

The tall, 24-year-old batting all-rounder was yesterday named in a 12-man unit to face India in the first Test against India beginning next week Thursday at the Vivian Richards Cricket Ground in Antigua.

“It is a great feeling to be called up to the West Indies team. As a youngster, it was a dream and a goal to play cricket for the West Indies. It is a nice feeling to know that my hard work has paid off,” Chase told NATIONSPORT. (HG)
