26 force BCU’s hand

THE EMBATTLED Barbados Cycling Union (BCU) has been mandated to call an extraordinary general meeting within the next 21 days.

That’s because correspondence signed by the required 25 members of the union has been despatched to the council demanding such a meeting.

Now that the correspondence with 26 signatures has been received by the secretary, the BCU must summon an extraordinary meeting to be held not less than 14 days, but not more than 21 days after the date of the notice.

The two dozen members are being represented by Queen’s Counsel Keith Simmons, who told the DAILY NATION that the ball was now in the BCU’s court. (MK)
