BTMI nominated for award

THE BARBADOS TOURISM MARKETING INC. (BTMI) has been nominated for one of the travel industry’s most prestigious awards – Tourist Board of the Year

The TTG Travel Awards 2016 is organised by the industry’s leading trade magazine, Travel Trade Gazette (TTG) and will be held at The Lyceum Theatre in London’s West End.

The awards are regarded as the universal benchmark of quality within the travel industry.

The rigorous judging process involves over 30 000 agent ratings combined with judging from elite industry experts, making the awards one of the most coveted events in the industry accolade.

CEO William Griffith said, “Our UK team has always enjoyed a very strong and progressive relationship with TTG, a trade publication which has facilitated Barbados’ continuous engagement with the UK agent community, over the years. We are exceptionally proud of this nomination and the achievements of the BTMI UK team and, wish them every success during the finals in September.”

The BTMI has been nominated for the Tourist Board of the Year category along with Tourism and Events Queensland, Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority and Malta Tourism Authority.

This year’s winners will be announced on September 19, 2016.

TTG is the leading publication for the UK travel industry, with news and features read by frontline high street travel agents through to chief executives of FTSE-100 travel companies. (PR)
