After the second leg of the series in St Kitts, a host of permutations emerged about the possible finalists, given that each team had two victories from their four matches.
It became less complicated after Sunday’s washout between South Africa and Australia.
Put simply, a win for West Indies against Australia at Kensington Oval today will result in a final between West Indies and South Africa at the same venue on Sunday.
A loss for West Indies will leave them in a must-win position against South Africa – a win in which they will more than likely need a bonus point. (HG)
