GET CREATIVE!
Contributors to the Crop Over festival are being urged to get more creative with their lyrics and costume designs.
Co-manager of the Experience Calypso Tent, Sean Carter, who goes by the stage name Apache, said that there is a bandwagon culture in Barbados and he wanted the festival to go beyond that.
“We seem to have a culture of people jumping on the bandwagon. If somebody sings a drinks song or a rum song and it’s successful, then we see a whole set of artistes then run with that,” he said. (TG)
