DARIAN KING still can’t believe it.
Barbados’ top-ranked pro has yet to come to grips with the greatest accomplishment of his career after learning he will be the first Bajan tennis player to contest an Olympic Games.
“I was sleeping when I first saw the text, so I can’t remember how I felt at the time, but when it hit me I know I felt really good, like this was too good to be true,” said the 24-year-old King.
“It’s a great feeling to actually be in the Olympics, quite amazing really, and I mean it has to be up there because the Olympics is that one thing every athlete wants to play or participate in, so I would say this is my greatest achievement yet.” (JM)
