Lears hut gone

BUSINESSMAN MARK Maloney is accusing the Town and Country Planning Department of victimisation following yesterday’s ripping down of a hut in the Lears Roundabout in St Michael.

It is the second clash between the entrepreneur and the regulatory agency in weeks after he was ordered last month to destroy a structure at Spring Garden, St Michael.

The latest conflict surrounds the small structure in a roundabout built in 2011 which Maloney, the chief executive officer of Preconco Ltd., said he constructed at the cost of $1 million to stop the numerous accidents when it was a junction. (CA)
