A DEM TURNED BEE believes he is being victimised by the Democratic Labour Party (DLP) because he assisted in breaking its stronghold in the St Michael West constituency many years ago.

Rashid Foster, of Morris Gap, Westbury Road, St Michael, whose house collapsed last Saturday leaving him homeless, told the DAILY NATION this could have been avoided if the Urban Development Commission (UDC) had honoured its agreement and repaired his home.

Explaining his dilemma, Foster said that on Saturday around 4:15 a.m., he heard a troop of monkeys travelling across his roof as usual to get to a nearby mango tree, and then he heard a loud crash.

“It is about six or eight monkeys with four [heavy] adults . . . . So when they jump from the tree and jump down ’pon the house, it is like two truckloads ’pon the house,” he explained. (MB)
