Jones: I’m not backing down

EMBATTLED Minister of Education Ronald Jones has made it clear to all that he will not be moved.

And he voiced annoyance over what he called an insurgence led by “a dangerous group in white” who were fuelling calls for his resignation.

“You don’t have to like me but you have to respect the office,” the minister told a Democratic Labour Party St George South meeting at St Luke’s Church Hall on Sunday.

In recent weeks Jones has come under fire from the Barbados Union of Teachers’ (BUT) which has called for his resignation. (SDB Media)
