THE GASTROENTEROLOGY UNIT of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital has received over $200 000 worth of equipment from the Legacy Foundation Charity.
Head of the unit Erika Springer-Cyrus thanked the foundation which is a part of the Barbados Public Workers’ Co-operative Credit Union Limited for its contribution.
She said the donations which included gastroscopes, colonoscopes and a monitor would benefit thousands of patients.
The equipment was handed over yesterday in an unveiling ceremony held at Ward C1 where the unit is located. (TG)
