FORMER NETBALL queens Pine Hill St Barnabas may not win the Division 1 title this season, but they were certainly a powerful force against UWI Blackbirds ‘B’ at the Netball Stadium on Monday night.

The former champions scored a 48-29 victory to end the first round with a 2/3 record and 13 points.

While national player Shonette Bruce remained on the bench due to injury, fellow national representative Sheniqua Thomas was at the forefront, scoring 28 of her 42 attempts.

Shekira Boxill made good use of her court time, replacing Shekeillia Smith to support Thomas by netting 20 of 34 tries.  (RG)
