Statement on Quaker Oats Quinoa Granola Bars recall

THE DEPARTMENT of Commerce and Consumer Affairs is aware of the Red Flag that has been raised concerning the recall of 6.1 ounce boxes of Quaker Quinoa Granola Bars Chocolate Nut Medley and 6.1 ounce boxes of Quaker Quinoa Granola Bars Yogurt, Fruit & Nut.

The Trading Standard Inspectorate section of the Department is currently working with importers and distributors to ascertain whether these items have been imported into Barbados.

It is important to note that there have been no reports of illness associated with these products to date.

The products recalled are as follows:

6.1 ounce boxes of Quaker Quinoa Granola Bars Chocolate Nut Medley

The 6.1 ounce boxes of Quaker Quinoa Granola Bars Chocolate Nut Medley with UPC code 30000 32241 which is subject to this recall have “best before” dates of 10/16/2016 and 10/17/2016.

6.1 ounce boxes of Quaker Quinoa Granola Bars Yogurt, Fruit & Nut

The 6.1 ounce boxes of Quaker Quinoa Granola Bars Yogurt, Fruit & Nut with UPC code 30000 32243 which is subject to this recall have “best before” dates of 10/10/2016 and 10/11/2016.

Persons who would have travelled and bought Quaker Quinoa Granola Bars overseas for their personal use, should also check to confirm that they do not have any of the recalled products. (BGIS)
