Port employee on drug charges

A DOCKER EMPLOYED by Barbados Port Inc. has been accused of drug trafficking.

He is 51-year-old Cedric Roger McIntosh Howell of 2nd Avenue Sealy Land, Bank Hall, St Michael.

He was reportedly seen by port security in possession of a haversack on May 11 and when challenged by the guards, he discarded the bag and left.

The haversack was retrieved and allegedly found to contain twenty pounds of cannabis. Further investigations by police led to Howell’s arrest.

Members of the Drug Squad formally charged him with possession of cannabis, possession with intent to supply and trafficking.

Howell is to appear at the District “A” Magistrates’ Court today. (PR/NB)
