UNICEF children’s rights champion, Faith Marshall-Harris, is calling for greater attention to be brought to the abuse meted out to the nation’s children.
“I don’t know how many of you are aware that so many children in our country are abused. And you will hear so many cases are reported to the Child Care Board. Let me tell you that that is the tip of the iceberg, because the reports are far less than the actual occurrence of child abuse,” she said.
Addressing a tea party on the rectory grounds of St Martin’s Anglican Church in St Philip over the weekend, Marshall-Harris said there were three major reasons for this.
