THE UNIVERSITY OF THE WEST INDIES (UWI) returned to the top of the Digicel Premier League on Saturday night with their tenth victory of the competition to move to 30 points, three more than second placed, DirectTV Paradise, who were scheduled to play Rendezvous last night.
Playing in the first game of a double header at the Barbados Football Association (BFA) Wildey ground, UWI defeated Claytons Kola Tonic Notre Dame 4-2. In the second match, Phone Medic Repair Belfield and Neighbourhood Care Pharmacy Weymouth Wales played to a 2-2 draw.
UWI took sole lead at the top of the league with their second win over Notre Dame in seven days and third for the season to confine the Bayland boys to the relegation zone with just eight points from 11 matches. (ROG)
