BCA denies Oval missteps

THE BARBADOS Cricket Association (BCA) says it hasn’t played any bad strokes at Kensington Oval.

And the association is asking that Minister of Sport Stephen Lashley declare where it failed to come to the crease.

In a counter-attack to Lashley’s remarks last Sunday on Voice of Barbados’ Brass Tacks Sunday radio show, the BCA noted the minister had acknowledged Government’s indebtedness to the association is in excess of $10 million.

But the BCA lamented that the liability had caused significant financial difficulties and compromised the association’s ability to effectively direct and administer many of its policies and programmes which significantly contribute to the development of the local and regional cricket. (EZS)
