JAHAN KING’S MOTHER and her boyfriend have been jointly charged with manslaughter in the death of the six-year-old.
According to a media release, Police arrested and jointly charged 26-year-old Lasonta Katrina Gill and Dwayne Alistair Marshall, 35, of Belfield, Jackson, St Michael.
Jahan died on June 29, 2015 at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital after he was taken there by ambulance.
An autopsy performed on the youngster revealed he had died as a result of blunt force trauma, and there have been repeated calls by grandmothers Enid Browne and Margaret Gill for someone to be charged.
Marshall and Gill are expected to appear at the District A Magistrates Court on Monday. (PR/SAT)
