ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH OFFICERS hit the illegal dumping jackpot again yesterday, when their team of investigators discovered another lawbreaker.
This time the perpetrator was found at Hangman Hill, near Vaucluse, St Thomas.
The man, whose name was withheld, was made to clear a large area of garbage there. Just before 9 a.m., members of the Ministry of Health’s surveillance team noticed a truck driver illegally dumping in the area.
Environmental Health Officer Ryle Rock told the DAILY NATION that based on information seen on some bags which had been dumped, calls were made to the company, which indicated the trucker had been hired to legally dispose of the refuse. (BA)
