A BARBAREES HILL FATHER whose 11-year-old son made headlines when he walked halfway across the island to find him, has admitted he has not always been there for his children.
But Antonio Agard, 37, believes there may be more to the decision of his son Tarel Agard to walk from Station Hill in St Peter to the outskirts of The City without the knowledge or consent of his mother Kimberley Adams — earninghimself a place on the police missing personslist last week.
Despite all that has been said about him, Agard told the WEEKEND NATION yesterday he loves his son and would love to make amends for all thebroken promises made to the student of the Eagle Hall Primary School over the years.
“I would like my relationship with my son to be like a typical father and son,” he said. “If I could get my hands on a three-bedroom house I would like them with me. I have a lot of love for my children.” He said he also had a 13-year-old-daughter and nine-year-old son. (MR)
