THE grandmother of Jahan King has said she will try to sue the Child Care Board (CCB) if police do not charge someone soon in the death of her grandson.

With the first anniversary of the death of the six-year-old less than three months away, a frustrated Ena Browne said she was disappointed that no one had been charged in connection with his death and she could no longer suffer in silence and do nothing.

“I am going to get an attorney and ask if we can bring up the Child Care Board on negligence because three times the child been to them and they give him back to the mother,” she said as she reiterated her belief that if the CCB had removed Jahan from his home, he would still be alive today.

Speaking to the SUNDAY SUN from her Deacons Farm home, the 68-year-old said she had been waiting patiently for the police to do their investigations since Jahan died last June 29, after he had been taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by his mother, Lasonta Gill.
