THE KING didn’t take long to regain his swing.

Top-ranked tennis pro Darian King looks like he’s back to his old self again, returning from his long injury layoff to make today’s quarter-finals of the Hellenic Zeus ITF Futures tournament in Greece.

Playing against Slovenia’s Alijaz Radinski yesterday, the second-seeded Bajan ace survived some nervous moments before advancing via a hard-fought 6-0, 6-7(8), 6-3 victory.

It wasn’t his only positive result on the day, though, as King returned to the court to pair with Venezuelan Ricardo Rodriguez for a 6-4, 6-0 quarter-final doubles win over Pavel Krainik and Mark Whitehouse. (JM)
