Past time for WICB to go

REGIONAL GOVERNMENTS should have taken down the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) by now and installed an interim committee to govern the sport.

And head of the Sir Arthur Lewis Institute for Social and Economic Studies (SALISES), Dr Don Marshall, also firmly believes the regional cricket body should have been gutted of its power base following the Professor Eudine Barriteau-led committee’s report calling for the disbandment of the WICB.

All this came yesterday as controversy swirled following World T20 winners and West Indies captain Darren Sammy’s comments slamming the WICB for disrespecting the West Indies players.
