THE REGIONAL RIVALRY on the track even extends to the stands at this year’s Flow CARIFTA Games at the Grenada Athletics Stadium in St George’s.

The home fans and the visiting Bahamian posse, complete with junkanoo band, battled each other from Day 1 to see who was the loudest. However, as usual, the Bahamians are the clear champions.

Big contingents from Trinidad and Tobago and Jamaica could clearly be seen while every now and then the ubiquitous aquamarine and gold of the Barbadian flag flew proudly throughout the stands.

The DAILY NATION caught up with some of the Bajan fans who made the trek to the Spice Isle.

Erica Nurse and mum Ordean from Christ Church were right up front, displaying their flags.
