No coastal warnings or watches are in place at this time, but countries in the Central and northern Lesser Antilles have been advised to monitor a weather system in the Atlantic Ocean.

Tropical Depression No. 5 is expected to gradually strengthen and become a tropical storm later tonight or tomorrow.

At 11 a.m., it was located at 10.4N and 47.9W, about 1 300Km east southeast of Barbados.

Maximum sustained winds are about 55 km per hour. The system is moving westward at 19 km per hour and this is expected to continue today.

A turn toward the west-northwest is forecast on Sunday, and that motion is expected to continue through Tuesday.

On the forecast track, the tropical cyclone should be near the central Lesser Antilles on Tuesday.  (PR/SAT)
