GOVERNMENT SENATOR Jepter Ince is confident a Democratic Labour Party (DLP) Government will be returned to office in the next general elections.

As he defended the Freundel Stuart administration’s performance in the face of a global economic crisis which he blamed for Barbados’ economic woes during his presentation on the Appropriation Bill 2016 in the Senate yesterday, Ince insisted they had kept their election promises.

“We have done that and there is more work to be done,” he declared.

“An election is going to be called and when that election is called, it is not going to be about unemployment; it is not going to be about managing the economy; it is not going to be about resources. It is going to be about who is better able to lead this country, whether the Opposition Leader or the current Prime Minister.”

“I am confident . . .that the people of Barbados, they are going to continue to side with the Democratic Labour Party . . . because we are doing what we are supposed to do.” (GC)
