Hope stars in Red Force fightback

TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO RED FORCE were fighting their way back into the Professional Cricket League four-day match against Barbados Pride yesterday.

After dismissing the visitors for 396 before, Red Force reached 111 for three at stumps on the second day of the contest at the National Cricket Centre, Balmain, Couva.

Barbadian Kyle Hope was leading the Red Force fightback, hitting an unbeaten 61 to keep the hosts in the hunt despite losing three wickets late in the day.

Earlier Roston Chase and Kevin Stoute scored half-centuries to keep the Pride on top for most of the day as the visitors got close to 400 despite being reduced to 276 for six before lunch.
