EVERY YEAR for the past three years Anthony Grey has journeyed more than 4 000 miles from his home in Southampton, the United Kingdom, to Barbados.
Indeed, the sea, sand and sun are idyllic, particularly when compared with his native damp English weather, but his trip is not merely one of relaxation. Rather, he is on a quest to uncover his maternal family history.
Grey and his wife Lynda arrived in Barbados this past Sunday to attempt to acquire more information. During an interview with the WEEKEND NATION at their hotel he was hopeful that he would have more success than on previous occasions.
So far, it is known that his grandfather was James Henry Chase, and his great-grandfather Alfred Chase worked as a mason.
