St Michael man remanded on drug charges

A 26-YEAR-OLD St Michael man was remanded to reappear in court after being charged with trafficking and importation of cannabis.

Members of the Drug Squad formally charged Rico Ricardo Boyce of Tamarind Lane, Eagle Hall, with possession of 4.5 pounds of cannabis, possession with intent to supply, trafficking and importation.

The offences were allegedly committed on Thursday at the Grantley Adams International Airport.

According to a police media release, Boyce arrived from Jamaica and a police canine indicated on his luggage. 

His was interviewed by Police and referred to Customs where the cannabis was found hidden in a false compartment. 

Boyce appeared at Magistrates Court on Friday and was remanded until Monday. (PR/SAT)
