SCORES OF YOUNGSTERS of Wilkie Cumberbatch Primary School might have been thinking of the line, It’s gonna take a lot to drag me away from you in Toto’s song Africa, as they sat transfixed during African Awareness Day celebrations yesterday.

As African Awareness filters into the month of March, students of Wilkie Cumberbatch had their moment to dress up in African apparel and participate in song, dance and drama all for the love of the Motherland.

Ajoyo was the theme of the day and the students danced to performances by their peers, singing songs such as Waka Waka (This Time for Africa), Happy, by Pharell and Spontaneous, by calypsonian RPB.
