THE OFFICES OF the National Petroleum Corporation (NPC) in Wildey, St Michael have been closed to the public since Monday February 29, due to a very strong residual scent left after an insecticidal treatment.

A release issued this evening said management took the decision to close the offices while having them cleaned by an industrial enterprise.

“Customers were directed to visit alternative outlets in order to pay their bills and in order to partly compensate for the inconvenience, the NPC has waived the disconnection of service to those customers who were overdue during the days of closure,” the release said.

It added: “Some administrative work has resumed and normal operations to the public will resume at the NPC offices on Monday March 7 and all overdue and outstanding bills must be paid promptly to avoid disconnection.” (PR)
