AMANDA HAYWOOD and Shae Martin walked away multiple winners on Sunday evening when the curtain came down on the Barbados Badminton Association’s Junior National Championships at the Wildey Gymnasium.
Haywood, a sixth form student of The St Michael School, retained the Under-19 Girls’ singles title and teamed up with Martin to retain the Under-19 mixed doubles title.
In the singles match, she defeated the improving Krysta Clarke in straight sets 21-10, 21-7.
Haywood told NATIONSPORT after the match that even though she was confident of winning, she was not about to take Clarke for granted.
