THE IMPRESSIVE Danielle Titus and improving McCallum Clarke were the stars on Thursday night when the National Long Course Swimming Championships continued at the Aquatic Centre in Wildey.
Titus made her first significant mark in the 13 to 14 Girls’ 400 metres individual medley, defeating fellow Alpha swimmer Ashley Weekes in a time of 5:39.19, which qualified her for the CARIFTA Games in this event.
She also became a candidate for the CARIFTA 50-metre backstroke, winning this race in 32.99 seconds, well within the qualifying mark of 33.44 seconds. Weekes placed second again in a time of 34.74 seconds and Destiny Harding completed the Alpha dominance, coming third in 35.93 seconds.
