MORE THAN 100 talented entrepreneurs will get an opportunity to advance their application development skills over the next 30 months, and make money for themselves at the same time.

They will develop their skills through the PitchIT Caribbean programme, which is being facilitated by the Barbados Coalition of Service Industries along with several local and international partners. The first cohort of 40 people got down to the business of things last week, but the programme was officially launched at Digicel’s Warren’s, St Michael offices yesterday evening.

The Canadian Government is the main donor for the estimated US$200 000 for the first phase of PitchIT Caribbean. PitchIT Caribbean is already in existence in Jamaica, St Kitts, Dominica, Trinidad and the facilitators are also looking at St Lucia. (YB)
