Police are encouraging both spectators and revellers to stay on their side of the ropes.
In an update earlier today, spokesperson acting Inspector Rodney Inniss said it was an offence for spectators to breach the protective barrier along the Republic Bank Grand Kadooment route.
“We want to encourage the spectators not to join the bands as they pass,” Inniss said.
“And so too, we want to encourage those persons involved in bands not to exit their bands and encourage their friends along the road to join in the bands. It is an offence to do that.”
Inniss said they had not received any reports at the command centre, and were maintaining a large presence on the road, providing both security and traffic management.
He urged everyone to have an incident free day. (PR/SAT)
