CAPTAIN Kraigg Brathwaite and coach Hendy Springer have hailed the clinical all-round display by the Barbados Pride in outplaying the woeful Windward Islands Volcanoes.

It took Barbados Pride just 18 minutes and 4.3 overs to swiftly polish off the Volcanoes by an innings and 56 runs in their regional Professional Cricket League sixth round four-day match at Kensington Oval yesterday.

Resuming on the final day from 134 for seven overnight, still 66 runs in arrears, the Volcanoes surrendered meekly for a paltry 144 as Barbados romped to their fourth win to remain in second place on 82 points, behind leaders Guyana Jaguars.

The Volcanoes lost their last three wickets while adding only 10 runs, inclusive of two edged fours to the third man boundary, to crash to their fourth defeat of the first-class season.
