ONE OF THE Nigerian students, involved in a training programme that was dogged by controversy last year, has left behind a baby girl, whose mother is appealing for help.
Kaliah Foster, 34, gave birth to five-month-old Sarah last October, seven months after the student flew home early from the Youth Empowerment Education Programme. He was among 15 students ejected from the programme for making critical remarks about it.
Foster, who is struggling to make ends meet, told the SUNDAY SUN that she needed help with the baby.
“I met him in St Philip a year ago at Miss Ram place [Casa Grande Hotel] and we became friends from that time,” she said. “. . . He was at [Barbados Community College] and I was at the university.”
