THIS LOVE STORY is not about the birds and the bees. It is also a tale that started with an attraction to feet.
Rudy and Joan Gibson’s love story began with a young man catching sight of a young girl’s attractive feet. That was 62 years ago.
After 60 years of marriage, there is no mistaking how much in love these two still are. They poke fun at each other, tease and laugh with continuous banter while relating the story of an old-fashioned courtship and an enduring marriage.
“There is a girl I was in love with and I was caning a chair, so that chair took about two months to cane, because I wanted to go there every evening to cane the chair,” said Barbados’ best known bee expert.
