Shutdown at Applewhaites Pumping Station Friday

THE BARBADOS WATER AUTHORITY (BWA) wishes to inform the public that its Applewhaite Pumping Station in St Thomas will be shut down on Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in order to facilitate various upgrades.  

As a result, residents and businesses in parts of St Thomas and St George will experience low water pressure or outages.

These areas include Proute Village, Strong Hope, Hopewell, Bibby’s Lane, Glendale, Rugby, Forty Acre, Bridgefield, Vaucluse, Shop Hill, Christie Village, Cane Garden Heights, Edgehill, Content, Rock Hall, Applewhaites, Roach Village, Jericho, Paradise Village, Groves, Market Hill, Cottage, Retreat, Exchange and surrounding districts.

Customers are asked to store an adequate amount of water for use during the duration of the shutdown.
