THE SAGA SURROUNDING the Springer Memorial Secondary School student took another dramatic twist yesterday.

Barred from attending classes for close to seven weeks, the 15-year-old girl was officially locked out of the school.

The child was given a transfer to Ellerslie Secondary School almost two weeks ago, but her mother, Elecia Weekes, is adamant that her child will not be attending the Black Rock, St Michael school, because of a previous experience with her son, who is now studying and working in Canada.

A frantic Weekes called the DAILY NATION yesterday morning after her daughter informed her that she was escorted to the school gate and off the compound by principal Pauline Benjamin, and asked to take off the school’s uniform.
