Fogging Schedule February 8 to 12

THE VECTOR CONTROL UNIT of the Ministry of Health continues its fogging programme next week aimed at controlling the Aedes aegypti mosquito population.

On Monday: The team will be in St Michael, where areas to be fogged include Bush Hall Road, Military Road, Bush Hall Yard Gap, Pioneer Road, Stadium Road, Bow Road, Spooner’s Hill, Paradise Road, Syndicate Road, Ocean View Road, Perfection Road and Accommodation Road.

The team will also be in Cave Hill, St Stephen’s Hill, Phillips Road, Grazettes, Denton Road, Pembroke Road, Rockhampton Road, Long Gap, Piedmont Park, Thompson Gap and the environs.

On Tuesday: Areas in St James and Christ Church to be fogged are Fitts Village, Risk Road, Berbice, Johnson Road, Prospect, Crusher Site Road, Walmer Lodge, University Hill, Paradise Heights, Sargeant’s Village, Bartlett Road, Brownes Road, Smith Road and surrounding areas.

On Wednesday: The exercise will return to St Michael, when Beckles Road, Jessamine Avenue, Gully Field, Piper’s Avenue, Curwen Avenue, Clarke’s Avenue, Bay Street and Chelsea Road will be fogged. It continues that same day in Dunlow Lane, Collymore Rock, Jemmotts Lane, Bay Street, Beckles Road, St Paul’s Avenue, Evelyn Avenue, Bay Gardens, Culloden Road and the environs.

On Thursday: Areas in Christ Church to be targeted are Enterprise Drive, Enterprise Coast Road, Oleander Drive, Lower and Upper Carter’s Gap, Goodland Development, St Christopher’s, Rollins Road, Bourne’s Land, Goodland Gardens and Enterprise Road. Fogging will also take place in Durant’s Terrace, Callenders Gardens, Callenders Court, Thornbury Hill, Gibbons, Gibbons Terrace and neighbouring districts.

On Friday: The team will be in St Michael, spraying Bank Hall Main Road, Dash Gap, Hill Road, Quarry Road, Kew Road, Military Road, Accommodation Road, Tudor Bridge, Olive Gap, Roxy Avenue and Eagle Hall.  The team will also be in Spooner’s Hill, Rock Gap, Woodstock Road, Long Gap with Avenues, Rogers Terrace with Avenues, Pillersdorf Development, Grazettes Gardens, Grazettes Road, Grazettes Court and the surrounding areas.

Fogging will be carried out from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. daily, and householders are reminded to open windows and doors to allow the spray to enter. Persons with respiratory problems are advised to protect themselves, and children should not be allowed to play in the fog. (BGIS)
