With 15 fights to go, Cobia “Soldier” Breedy is steadfast in his goal of becoming a world champion.
The Barbadian professional boxer, who now resides in the United States, told the SATURDAY SUN it took a great deal of discipline and hard work to reach the level he is currently at and it would take even greater determination to achieve his dream.
In 2010 he took a significant step on the road to becoming a champion when he joined the Barbados Defence Force (BDF) Sports Programme.
“We travelled to the Commonwealth Games and I met a Bahamian coach who lived in Washington DC, by the name of Floyd Seymour, and we were talking and I told him I wanted to come to the States, but I was not really serious at that time, I was just playing,” he said as he reminisced on the experience six years ago.
