Visitors set island record

A VACATION in Barbados proved to be the adventure of a lifetime for two American tourists.

The father and son pair of Nevin and Rasmus Sayre undertook a gruelling around the island trip aboard their hydrofoils [a hydrofoil is a modified kiteboard].

Nevin is an experienced windsurfer and kiteboarder while his 18-year-old son is one of the best young windsurfers in the world.

The pair were encouraged to complete the trip by world-renowned surfer Brian “de Action Man” Talma while they stayed at one of Talma’s apartments in Silver Sands.

They made the gruelling trip around the island in five hours and 12 minutes last Sunday.
