Expect more showers today.

Crop Over enthusiasts should keep their umbrellas close today, as the Barbados Meteorological Services has predicted more bad weather, with the Soca Monarch finals slated for its new venue at the National Botanical Gardens, in Waterford, St Michael.

The island was splashed heavily with the front end of a tropical wave yesterday evening and according to forecasters, the wave will continue to affect Barbados for most of today.

The weather will be generally cloudy to overcast conditions, with pockets of moderate to heavy showers, and the chance of thunderstorms.

The wave will also have an effect on sea conditions, with swells expected in the range of 1.5 to two metres. (BA)
