PORT OF SPAIN – Trinidad and Tobago Red Force beat Barbados Pride by 72 runs to retain the NAGICO Super50 cricket trophy.

Sent in to bat first after losing the toss at Queen’s Park Oval, Red Force scored a challenging 270 for seven off their 50 overs and limited Pride to 198 all out in 42.5 overs.

A poor start saw Pride reduced to 22 for three, and then limped to 80 for six. A seventh-wicket partnership of 59 between Shai Hope (50) and Carlos Brathwaite (46) gave a glimmer of hope before they were removed in successive overs. nagico-super50-logo
