FIVE BAJANS WILL MAKE Barbadians proud when they take to the International Soca Monarch stage today in Trinidad. iWeb is the first out the blocks, pulling No. 9, as part of the Bajan invasion at the semi-finals. He will be singing Incredible.

Following him will be Biggie Irie (Sweet Type Of Way), who has already won a crown in Trinidad, and he will be competing at No. 28. Next is King Bubba (Mash Up) at No. 29, then Peter Ram (All Ah We) at No. 34 and Hypsasounds (How She Like It), who was the only Bajan to physically pull his number, will perform at No. 65 out of 70 competitors.

Bubba told the SUNDAY SUN: “I am ready to hit the stage. I am excited and I feel grateful for the opportunity.”

Hypasounds said: “I can’t wait to perform at International Soca Monarch. And 246 is well represented with the other Bajan performers who got in and I am just going to do my best.”

The semi-finals will be live at Queen’s Park Oval but not streamed online. (NS)
